Holiday Schedule

Active Learning Academy follows most of the Bend/Lapine School District holidays. We value our time with our preschoolers but also want to provide ample time for our staff to be with their families to rest and recoup in order to be the best teachers they can be.

These are our 2024-2025 school closures, which are subject to change:

November 11, 2024 (Veterans Day)
November 27-29, 2024 (Thanksgiving)
December 23, 2024 - January 3, 2025 (Winter Break)
January 20, 2025 (Martin Luther King Day)
February 17, 2025 (Presidents Day)
March 24-28, 2025 (Spring Break)
May 26, 2025 (Memorial Day)
June 10 NORTON GRADUATION 3:30pm

June 12-13, 2025 (Summer Kickoff)
June 19-20, 2025 (Juneteenth)
July 3-4, 2025 (4th of July)

Please note: these closures are paid closures and tuition is not reduced. Closures may occur due to illnesses or inclement weather and tuition is still due in full regardless of a closure.

inclement weather

We follow the Bend La Pine School District’s recommendation for delayed opening and school closures. We will post on Brightwheel by 6am if a delay or closure is forecasted. Unfortunately, the school district does not forecast for late evening travel where temperatures drop and hazardous road conditions are more relevant. On occasion, school will close early at 4pm if there appears to be an expected major storm coming in or if the roads are expected to be dangerous for travel. We are cautious with our traveling teachers as well as our students and families safety and want to allow everyone to get home safely. While this can be inconvenient, it rarely occurs during the season. We appreciate the support in prioritizing the safety of our teachers and families.
